Basic estimates are provided free of charge.
While it is preferable to examine objects in person, a preliminary quote can be provided based on written descriptions accompanied by high-resolution digital images. Estimates may be adjusted once the object is received and examined in person.
WHAT CAN I EXPECT TO PAY?
The price of treatment varies depending on the object and its treatment needs. The cost of a single item treatment can range from anywhere between $200-$2000.
Washington Conservation Studio does not appraise or authenticate objects. Referrals to an appropriate appraiser can be provided upon request.

Objects can be sent via FedEx, USPS, and UPS.
Insuring your shipment and providing tracking information is highly recommended.
Washington Conservation Studio will not be held responsible for damage incurred during shipping.
Return Shipping & Handling charges will be applied to your final invoice.
Insurance of objects is the sole responsibility of the owner during the period of time that it is at Washington Conservation Studio.
Shortly after receving your object, we will complete a Condition Report/Treatment Proposal Estimate along with a Cost Estimate that will be sent via USPS and/or email for your review and approval.
Approval for treatment must be received prior to start of work.
A Final Report will be provided upon completion of work.
Each object treated by Washington Conservation Studio will be photographed before and after treatment.
An Invoice will be supplied with the final treatment report upon completion of work. Payment is due in full prior to delivery.
Accepted methods of payment are cash, checks, and money orders.
